Metals & Mountains was founded in the fall of 2022 by Andrew Bradbury, Vice President of Corporate Development & Investor Relations at Orla Mining, and his wife, Tierney Courage. The idea was born out of a deeply personal experience: earlier that year, following the loss of their first pregnancy, Tierney received compassionate and comprehensive care at Women’s College Hospital. Moved by the support they received and inspired by the hospital’s commitment to advancing healthcare outcomes for marginalized communities, the couple—both avid cyclists—decided to create a meaningful way to give back. They approached Orla to be their presenting sponsor and have been growing the ride and raise ever since.
