Who is eligible to participate in Changemakers?
Any full-time, part-time or casual staff member of Women’s College Hospital who is over the age of 18 is eligible to participate in Changemakers. Physicians who do not hold staff positions at the hospital are not eligible.
How much do tickets cost?
Staff lottery tickets are $3 each.
Do I have to buy tickets before every payday?
No! When you sign up, you will receive one number for each ticket purchased. The total amount you’ve selected will be deducted from every pay until the end of the lottery period (August 21, 2025) or until you notify us that you would like to cancel your participation.
Can I change the number of tickets I’ve purchased?
Yes! If you’d like to change the number of tickets, please email foundation@wchospital.ca
Will I get a tax receipt for participating in the lottery?
You will not receive a tax receipt for participating in the Changemakers Lottery. However, if you wish to donate any portion of your winnings back to Women’s College Hospital, you will be eligible to receive a tax receipt.
How do I sign up?
Signing up is easy! Click here to enroll online. You can also download our enrollement form and return it to the Foundation's office.
Is there a limit on how many tickets I can buy?
Yes. You can purchase up to six tickets for a total of $18 per pay.
Where does my money go?
Your contributions to the staff lottery will be part of the pool of funding established by all participants’ ticket purchases. Every payday, a winner will be announced and that individual will take home 50% of the total pooled funds. The other 50% will directly support the greatest priority needs of Women’s College Hospital – including equipment needs, research, clinical programs and more.
